Tuberculosis Association of India opens call for grants in Tb research project.

The tuberculosis association of India is providing financial assistance to short term research projects on topics mainly concerning tuberculosis and it's prevention which will be taken up for discussion during the Annual National conference of tuberculosis association.
During NATCON 2019 which is scheduled to be held from 20th - 22 December, 2019 at Chennai Tamil Nadu, the broad areas under which reseach projects will be financed includes epidemiology of TB , TB and diabetes , lung health, newer diagnostics in Tb , pediatric tuberculosis, tobacco and lung health , newer technologies in TB, universal coverage in Tb, newer drugs and vaccines, MDR- TB , XDR- tuberculosis, role of civil society and nurses , role of paramedical staff in Tb prevention, information technology in respiratory diseases, nutrition and tuberculosis, pneumonia, COPD and asthma, geriatric TB ,etc among other similar areas.
The financial assistance of Rs. 50000 each will be provided to selected projects. The applicant will be expected to complete the project within 3 months. All medical students as well as doctors are eligible to apply for this grant. The selected applicant has to get ethical clearance certificate from their institution where the reseach work will be carried out.
The research proposal in the prescribed application format need to be submitted via Dean Academics / Principal of the concerned institute or State TB Association through email only. The last date to apply for this research grant is 31st August. No applications after due date will be acknowledged.
