CCMB Hyderabad invites proposals from MBBS students for MEDSRT Research program 2020

A 2-week Medical Students Research Training (MedSTR) program is being organised by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CSIR-CCMB), Hyderabad and Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Telangana.
Recognised by the Global Molecular and Cell Biology Network, UNESCOCenter of Excellence", as the "Center for Excellence", CCMB is a premiere biotechnology research establishment in India.
Keeping up with its objective of conducting research in frontier and multi-disciplinary areas of modern biology and to seek potential applications of this work, and also advancing and enriching research caliber in students, CCMB organises a number of training programs every year.
The Medical Students Research Training (MedSTR) program, among these, is meant specifically for medical students for providing them training on various research methodologies. Students shall receive a series of lectures and much practical experiences ranging from varied aspects of biomedical research.
They will also learn about various aspects of scientific research, like ethics, biosafety, good practices in the laboratory, and numerous research facilities including the ones at CCMB and at its annexes.
ELIGIBILITY: Students studying in 2nd and 3rd years of MBBS are eligible for this program. Along with their applications, applicants need to fulfill the requirements of uploading a forward certificate from HOD/Principal of the University/College/Institute, a brief biodata and also a Statement of Purposes (SOP) for attending the program.
LAST DATE FOR APPLYING: March, 18, 2020 is the last date for applying for MedSTR. There is a limit of maximum participants of 20-25.

This is a free training program, and CCMB shall not bear travel charges. Accomodation can be provided upon request subject to availability.
