For admission in MBBS courses, NTA opens online applications for NEET 2020

The National Testing Agency ( NTA) has opened the applications for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ( NEET- UG 2020) for admissions in MBBS and BDS courses at different medical colleges across the country both Government as well as private. This year the NEET UG entrance test will be unique as after passing of the National Medical Commission Bill 2019 , admission in AIIMS Delhi, other AIIMS and JIPMER would also be made via NEET, hence making it the single largest undergraduate entrance test.
NEET 2020 will be conducted on 3rd of May , 2020 from 2- 5 pm. The exam this year will be conducted in 11 different languages including English and Hindi.
Pattern of questionpaper - Like previous years, this year also the paper will carry total of 180 questions comprising of 45 each from Physics, Chemistry and Biology ( including Botany and Zoology ). Mode of the exam will be pen and paper based and no online exam will be held.
HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank during a question hour session in the Parliament clarified that there will be no separate exams for AIIMS and JIPMER and all admissions will be made through NEET only putting an end to all speculations.
The last date for submission of application form is 31st of December, 2019.
Following different controversies and protest during previous years , Hijab ’, ‘burkha’, ‘kara’ and ‘ kirpan' are allowed during NEET 2020. However students wearing these need to report to exam centres 1 hour prior to the start of exam.
The results for the same will be declared in the first week of June.
