The day is also meant to celebrate the work of so many community health workers and members of HIV and Key population networks who have contributed in HIV prevention and control in India and across the world. This year the objective of WHO on World Aids Day is to highlight the impact made by these communities towards ending the HIV epidemic and also drawing international focus towards strengthening primary health care.
